Father Christmas

Father Christmas came to Clacton Lifeboats on Sunday 16th December 2001. He arrived on the Atlantic 75 on the West Beach, and took up his place in his grotto in the inshore boathouse on the Western promenade.

Some 61 children paid him a visit, each receiving a small gift, to tell him what they would like for Christmas. Although there was a strong icy wind blowing the rain stayed away and the souvenier stall was kept busy.
